Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
1. Information we collect
If you use the app signed out (the default), we collect nothing about you. Your quiz progress — questions answered, accuracy, day streak, missed and flagged questions, and app settings — is saved in your own browser's localStorage on your device and never leaves it.
If you create an account and sign in, we collect and store:
- Account info: your name and email address (from Google sign-in, or the email you sign in with), so we know it's you across devices.
- Progress data: the same quiz progress listed above — synced to our database so it follows you from phone to laptop and is never lost if you switch devices.
Accounts and sync run on Firebase (Google's app platform). Your account info and progress are stored in Firebase Authentication and Firestore under Google's security practices; see Google's Privacy Policy.
The app's service worker caches the app's files on your device so the quiz works offline. This is standard browser caching, also stored only on your device.
2. What we do with it — and what we never do
- We use your email and progress only to operate your account: signing you in and syncing your progress across your devices.
- We never sell your personal data. Not your email, not your progress, not anything.
- We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers. The only third party involved is Google (Firebase) to run the account service itself.
- No precise location data, no device identifiers sent to us, no health or medical information about you.
Deleting your data: email [email protected] from your account email and ask us to delete your account — we'll remove your account and synced progress. Your on-device progress can be cleared anytime by clearing the app's site data in your browser.
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
NCLEX Drill shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. This may include:
- Third-party cookies: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our app and other sites on the Internet.
- Personalized advertising: you may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.
We do not control Google's cookies or how Google uses them; see Google's Privacy Policy for details.
4. Children's privacy
NCLEX Drill is a nursing-exam study aid intended for adult nursing students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
5. Educational content disclaimer
NCLEX Drill is a study aid only. NCLEX® is a registered trademark of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN); NCLEX Drill is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCSBN. Rationales are educational and are not medical advice, and nothing here is a substitute for professional judgment or official study materials. Always follow your program's and clinical site's policies.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves (for example, when features change). Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
